My dream is to Create Art and share it with others to Change Our World!

I have started a new project called Art & Soul. This is how it works...

1. Each month I will feature a new charity on the blog.
2. With every purchase made through my print shop I will donate fifty percent of the proceeds.
3. You can find the print shop on my website or at http://jacquelinebrewerart.imagekind.com/
4. You can purchase art for yourself or as a gift and smile knowing you are making a difference!

So what is the charity for the month of MAY?

Peaceful Peonies

8x8 in Oil on museum quality panel
$350

Oh Happy Day!

Yesterday I took a break from working on the business side of things to focus on painting. I actually taught my first lesson in the studio! It was a fun filled day that started with coffee and homemade blueberry muffins..mmmm!

We cranked up the Pandora
(I've been hooked on the French Cafe station lately because it makes me so happy)
then it was down to business!

Who knew you could talk on the phone while creating a masterpiece??? : )
Speaking of phone calls...during our lesson I received a call from the gallery where I just placed seven paintings. They called to tell me that the first painting had SOLD!!
So we did a little happydance then continued the lesson.  : )
We had to wrap it up early so stay tuned for before and after photos....

P.S. Hope you are having a Happy Day!

                    "Moonlit Stroll" SOLD

"Moonlit Stroll"

8x8  in Oil on Museum quality panel
$350

Happy Monday!
I would just like to say that "Life is Good" and there are signs of Spring in the air! We escaped the snow for the weekend..put the top down on the car, put our hands in the air and let out a big WoooooHoooo as we drove down to the Tri Cities. : )))
The sun was shining, the breeze was warm, the flowers and trees were blooming, the birds were singing and the air smelled so sweet! (Except when passed the stinky onion fields)
The trip down was a great success. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the home of gallery owner Kim Brewer and spent the evening talking about life and art. We also got to squeeze in a little visit with our relatives in the area and although time was short we had a great time. I especially loved having morning coffee out on the deck chatting while the guys played guitar. : )

As we drove back home Sunday evening I soaked up the sights and smells taking in all the beautiful surroundings as inspiration for future paintings. So I wonder...what inspires you? Do you paint things that you think other people will like or buy? Or do you paint the things that you love..the things that reflect what is in your heart?

We made it back to Spokane and stopped for dinner then put the top back up for the last hour of the trip home. Back up the mountain to our piles of snow where we will continue to wait for the warm breeze and the flowers and trees to bloom. However, as you can see in the photo, there is hope that maybe..just maybe... someday soon Spring will arrive at the Brewer Chateau!

"Lavender Breeze"

8x8 Oil
$350

I will just say right now..this has been a very crazy week! I've been busy working on the "biz" side of things from creating the website design, and blog, and newsletter (coming soon), and facebook pages, and pinterest..yikes! There is so much to learn from posting to blogging to tweeting to pinning I hope I can keep it all straight! Oh and I managed to squeeze in a couple of paintings too. : )

Today I was also busy packing and framing some pieces.

We will be hitting the road in the morning to meet up with Kim and Rick Brewer in Selah at The KL Brewer Gallery/Salon.

I'm looking forward to seeing all the wonderful work they have displayed. I'm also looking forward to a long overdue visit with our relatives in the area and I do have to admit I am just slightly THRILLED to be esaping the snow to go soak up warm SUNSHINE! : )

Follow your dreams...

Have you ever had a desire in your heart to do something you love like creating Art, playing a Musical Instrument or climbing to the peak of a mountain, but ignored it? Is it fear of rejection?, fear of failure?, fear of change? or fear of the unknown? So you push that dream back down inside of you and make excuses as to why you can't pursue it..I'm too busy with work, school, kids, family etc., I wouldn't know what to do or where to start, I'm not good enough to make it happen...and the list goes on.
I'm here to tell you that
the dream inside of you was put there for a reason!
Your dream, like a tiny seed, will grow and flourish if you take the time to
nurture it.

As Napoleon Hill once said:

You can be anything you want to be, if only you believe with sufficient conviction and act in accordance with your faith: for whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.

Life is short and your dream is waiting for you to follow it...
